Inspiration comes from the need to provide an answer to particular needs. Some people are looking for comfort, others speed, and others want to do something that they are not used to doing. The inspiration of iRIP comes from the pain suffered due to the death of a dear person, and the need to feel close to that person. The idea came to a young Italian, following the loss of a very young cousin. The boy’s parents decided to cremate the body, and keep their son’s ashes in their home. This choice would allow the parents to be close to their son, but it deprived the outside world of a physical place to go to pay homage. Likewise, it deprived the parents of the pleasure of learning of how many people wanted to pay respect to their son, and understand the affection of others towards their son.
Hence the idea of creating a virtual place, away from current social networks, where friends and relatives could meet to remember their loved one, sharing precious thoughts and moments through messages or images.
The young genius
Focusing on the web and on the social world was not a random choice. Jobs and commitments take us further and further away from home and much of our life intersects with the world of Internet, communication, shopping and social media. Why not take advantage of this tendency to offer the possibility to access a particularly intimate virtual world, one dedicated to the memory of our deceased loved ones? This issue took shape thanks to the Memoryp social media, now downloaded and used all over the globe in the IOS and Android versions.
Aware of the need to have something more tangible, Jacopo Vitali conceived the new digital cinerary urn, which provides a constant connection with the deceased beloved whose ashes are kept in the family. iRIP has a screen showing the loved ones, on which relatives and friends can share memories by sending flowers, messages or photos of special moments directly from their smartphone. Thanks to the various replaceable and customizable covers, iRIP can change its appearance adapting it to environments, important events, and anniversaries (birthdays, weddings, festivities, etc.) so that the relative’s presence can still be felt in family life.
iRIP is the ideal solution to combine the need to preserve your loved one in the home, while offering the outside world the opportunity to interact in his or her memory. It is a wonderful occasion because we would all like to know who is remembering our loved ones, and from here this social media was created.
Nothing is defined and everything around us changes abruptly. Technology and ways of living can change our habits, but we will always remain people with the need to love and share affection. The innovation of memoryp and iRIP combine this need with the latest technologies, giving families a way to dedicate more time to the memory of their loved ones, in the serenity and intimacy of their homes.
